CTMA seeks licence to use Cyprus-flagged SUPERSTAR II on Magdalen Islands route
Canada's CTMA has applied for a temporary coasting trade licence to run SUPERSTAR II between Cap-aux-Meules and Souris while MADELEINE II is in maintenance this winter.

CTMA plans to withdraw MADELEINE II for maintenance and has applied to deploy the Cyprus-flagged SUPERSTAR II between Cap-aux-Meules and Souris from 15 November 2026 to 15 March 2027. The Canadian Transportation Agency found no suitable Canadian vessel was available, but the service still needs a coasting trade licence from the Minister of Public Safety.
